The Washington Times gives an article about the trend of more men embracing sandals. Associated Press reporter Nick Divito writes that sandals for men, or the “mandal…continues to grow in popularity. Sales of men’s sandals jumped nearly 11 percent from February 2005 to January 2006 and another 13.4 percent from February last year through this January.”
We hate the name “mandal”. It’s almost as asinine as “murse” or “manbag”. They’re sandals and so we will choose to call them…sandals. However, it is interesting to make note of the trend that’s being worn by the likes of Jay-Z to average Joe’s.
