Tom Ford’s Boutique up to par? Some say no.

by Kid A on May 4, 2007

Tom Ford’s boutiqueThe New York Times has given a less than inviting review of Tom Ford’s new boutique at 845 Madison Avenue (70th Street).

Times’ reporter, Horacio Silva, recounts a tale of being an unwelcomed shopper (“offered no assistance”) on his initial visit to the store.

Mr. Silva notes that upon returning to the store the next day his reception was, “markedly different”. This time Mr. Silva made an “appointment”, in his name and admits that, “the entire staff appeared to know (he) was a Times reporter”.

We hope Mr. Ford corrects this problem at his boutique quickly…unless this snottiness is the look he is aiming for.
