Pete Doherty and Kate Moss for Roberto Cavalli’s Fall ad campaign

by Aaron on June 13, 2007

Rocker Pete Doherty is the new face of Cavalli men. WWD.com reports that Doherty will join girlfriend, model Kate Moss, for separate spreads of Roberto Cavalli’s Fall ad campaign.

“Kate Moss and Pete Doherty perfectly embody everything that’s contemporary and they’re poetic, creative and wild,” said Cavalli. “They go against mainstream and have an innate and fantastic sense of style.” The shots intend to highlight Doherty’s slightly ambiguous spell and his status of contemporary icon, he added.”

By the looks of it, the advertising spread will be beneficial to both Cavalli and Doherty.

We think this will establish Pete as a fashion icon. The rocker is already well known for playing sartorial muse to designer Hedi Slimane during his tenure at Dior Homme.

The ad’s will hit publications in July.
