PSFK reports that Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli will be H&M’s next guest designer.
The fast fashion retailer has caused rushes with their design collabos. Previous collaborations included Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney and Madonna.
Cavalli, who will be the retailers first Italian guest designer, will produce a one-off collection for men and women. He will create about 20 men’s look and 25 women’s looks.
We are thrilled he has decided to include men’s who have been left out of some of the previous collections.
Hopefully Cavalli will bring the sexy tailoring he is known for to the masses.
H&M said:
“The line will carry the vital touch and the intense sensuality typical of Roberto Cavalli, one of the world’s most exciting and creative fashion designers.”
Approximately 200 select H&M stores worldwide will carry the ‘Roberto Cavalli at H&M’ collection. The collection will be available for a limited time starting November 8th, 2007.
This comes on the heels of Cavalli announcing Pete Doherty and Kate Moss as part of the Fall ‘07 ad campaign for Roberto Cavalli and a possible public offering for the company.
