We recently came across Blingyourself.com, a website that allows men and women to rent luxury jewelry online. It may strike you as a bit tacky at first but remember that celebrities “borrow” jewelry all the time, so have at it if you want.

The designer pieces available include Christian Dior, Gucci, John Hardy, Judith Ripka, Roberto Coin, Rolex and TAG Heuer.

Michelle Krause, founder of Bling Yourself, says, “Blingyourself.com is the simple way to keep up with today’s latest trends without having to break the bank.”

Items for men include watches, bracelets, cufflinks, necklaces, rings and even sunglasses.

Customers can choose to be guest or premium members and rent items on a weekly or monthly basis. Premium members receive discounts on the rates.

This may come in handy for some on a tight budget with a big event to attend, but we’d prefer to keep our jewels in the family.
