It seems like folding sunglasses are becoming quite popular. First Ray-Ban puts out some folding joint Wayfarers. And now we have some Soph folding sunglasses that are strikingly familiar to the Wayfarers. You be the judge. More pic’s after the jump.

Those are definitely a rip-off of Ray Ban, but everyone has a rip-off of the Wayfarer now, so it doesn’t really matter.
However, those have Chinese on the side of them, and not the words “Ray Ban”, so it’s just not the same.
I really like the way that these Wayfarers fold up. The middle folds on the arm part of my Ray Bans create two scratches on the inside of the glass, that kinda bugs me. these sophs provide a bit of a more elegant solution, by bending downwards instead of inwards.
I think just about everyone will always look down on non-Ray Ban wayfarers (especially us Ray Ban owners). But i have to admit I am kinda impressed.
