For Spring-Summer 2009 Prada presented a collection of collar bone exposing parkas and tops.
Jackets and blousons draped from the shoulders of models hung by elastic bands. This low cut neckline followed throughout the collection from the jackets to being incorporated in crew necks. The latter gave the effect of ripped up sweatshirts from the 80’s.
Miuccia Prada played with proportions that varied from shirts and jackets cut sharply at the navel to elongated form fitting tops that came down to the mid thigh. Prada also had fun with layering as elongated cuffs peeked up shorter length sleeves.
Despite all this, the standout piece was seen in a gold rubber coat begging the question of how practical it is for the spring-summer season.
