We love fashion for a cause and we love lemonade. So what’s better than combining the two?

On August 9th and 10th denim brand Earnest Sewn will partner with the Lower Eastside Girls Club for a Lemonade Stand and Bake Sale. The lemonade stand and bake sale will be hosted by the Earnest Sewn store located at 90 Orchard Street.
The lemonade stand will feature products from Sweet Things Bake Shop, the for-profit bakery run by the Lower Eastside Girls Club, which provides entrepreneurial training and business skills development to economically disadvantaged girls and young women. Every year over 50 girls are trained at Sweet Things Bake Shop in the basics of baking and running a small business.

Earnest Sewn has committed to match all profits from Lemonade sales to benefit The Girls Club of New York programs. As an extra incentive the store will offer patrons a 5% discount on any Earnest Sewn product purchased that day.

When you buy from Sweet Things Bake Shop you are doing more than consuming a cookie. Your purchase supports programs that teach inner-city girls culinary arts and business skills.
