WIN A FREE COPY OF ITALIAN VOGUE’S ALL BLACK MODEL ISSUE!!!

by Kid A on July 24, 2008

Hey Hauties!

As you all know, this issue had been harder to find than a hooker in church.

So we’re finally glad that we have a copy of the much ballyhooed Vogue Italia/Italian Vogue All Black model issue. When we found it was available at a newsstand across town (hint: Universal News-14th Street between 5th & 6th Ave.) we hightailed it in a cab to get there ASAP!

When we arrived and found an ample supply we snapped up five copies. “FIVE COPIES???” you ask.

Yes, five! One for us to keep as our office copy, AND one of each of the different four covers to give away to four of you, sillies!!!

So now you’re asking, “How do I get a free copy of Vogue Italia/Italian Vogue’s All Black Model Issue”?

  1. You have to be a HAUTE fan. (You do that simply by visiting us everyday and spreading the word to friends.)
  2. Write it down on a sign or paper, “I’m Haute!”
  3. Take a pic of yourself (like Karl Lagerfeld below…with the force of our hand and a ‘lil photoshop help).
  4. Email it to us here: info@hauteconcept.com with “Vogue Contest” in the subject line.
  5. Hope you’re one of the four picked.

Contest runs two weeks and ends August 7th. Winners announced August 8th and we’ll ship the magazines, still freshly wrapped in shrinkwrap that same day!

BTW, this contest is international! (Thanks Nat!)

FYI legality-All photos will be featured on our sidebar so by sending to us you give us your consent to post it. (Don’t worry we don’t bite…it’s just to cover all bases!)

GOOD LUCK!!!

I was not surprised when I heard Italian Vogue was doing an issue totally devoted to black women. There is in Italy a love affair and curiousity about black women. Having lived in the country for 3 years and having myself and other friends constantly eyed and pursued.

As an African American woman I am so proud of Vogue Italia for representing my gender and culture with grace and dignity. It’s wonderful to see women who look like me in the magazine. What a blessing!!! Thank you so much.

Dear Haute Concept INC,

Thank you for the All-Black Italian Vogue Issue! I would like to know if there is anyway that I can purchase a copy of this AWESOME issue. I reside in Atlanta and I did not find this issue. This is why I miss living in NEW YORK!!

I hope to model and work for Vogue one day in my near future. So this issue really hit home for me… I am glad that you featured many different blacks and not the stereo-typical black female:

*No hair
* Full Figured
* Really dark
* Gap in teeth

The citizens of this world need to see that blacks are beautiful just as well as any other race and we don’t all look the same. For example: I am a very petite black woman: 5’1 and size 0 with a head full of healthy hair. Many people can’t believe how tiny I am and assume that I am mixed but I am not. I am an African- American who just happens to be petite. This magazine is a great step to showing the world that blacks all don’t look the same. Maybe one day people will just think that I am black and not mixed! Keep up the good work! I truly appreciate this. I applaud Vogue for making a solution to the problem and being a leader!!
