CALVIN KLEIN TO SHOW MEN’S COLLECTION IN NEW YORK THIS FEBRUARY

by Kid A on July 30, 2008

Calvin Klein is celebrating its 40th anniversary is big ways.

This September the minimalist American brand will be  having a celebration party on Sunday the 7th during New York Fashion Week.  But the really big news is coming the following fashion week next February.

Calvin Klein will show its men’s collection in New York during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Calvin Klein has been showing their menswear collection in Milan since 1998 and this marks its first return to New York since then.

“I think this is a very exciting time for men’s wear here, as there are a lot of new and interesting young designers working in New York now,” said Zucchelli. “Additionally, I think it is a very good signal to our U.S. retailers that we are building the business in the United States.”

This is great news and we wish it would last longer than a one season.  Calvin Klein already shows their women’s wear collection in New York during New York Fashion week.

Editors and buyers headed to Italy for Milan Men’s Fashion Week will have an opportunity to preview the collection through market appointments.
