If Anna Wintour falls in the hallway and an intern see it, does she make a noise?
These are the politics that Conde Nast employees must be able to navigate. A reader tells Gawker of a “nightmare intern” story.
“One of my old [Conde Nast publication redacted] interns had a nightmare herself – she moved up to Vogue and was passing Anna in the hall on her first day. Knew she wasn’t supposed to look at her. As they passed, Anna tripped and fell, just bit it. Intern freaked out. she didn’t know what to do. So she ran. Didn’t help AW. got back to her desk, told her new boss what had happened, and the boss told her she did the right thing and that if she’d actually attempted to help AW, her first day would def have been her last.”
Wow! So what is Anna would have broken her leg or something worse? Do interns just let her wither and die? There must be a book of rules compiled ASAP to answer these questions people!
