Louis Vuitton hosted one of the best parties of New York Fashion Week last night.
To celebrate the release of the new Damier Graphite collection, Louis Vuitton invited us to their ‘Casino Louis Vuitton’ at their store in Soho.
The casino-themed party treated us to stacks of Louis Vuitton ‘dollars’ as we entered to gamble with. Party goers immediately got down and dirty on various casino games from Blackjack to Poker.
The casino theme came as no surprise as the Fall 2008 men’s collection found inspiration in 60′s robbery movies including Mélodie en sous-sol, about a gang of casino robbers in Cannes.
The bar was open and the champagne was flowing as revelers wandered through the multi-level store which was changed into a swanky Vegas joint.
We couldn’t believe how Louis Vuitton came through to upstage all the other fashion week after parties considering they didn’t even show at the tents in Bryant Park.
The party was just a chance for Louis Vuitton customers to discover the latest interpretation of their Damier canvas but they jumped leaps past the parties hosted by other labels.
Other labels…take note. That’s how to throw a party.
