Giorgio Armani described his eponymous spring/summer 2009 collection as a “joy to wear”.
Armani’s stated aim was to turn elegance, “ into delightful dressing in beautiful clothes designed to meet the demands of everyday life.”
Such bold statements were easily supported by the wearable collection of silk pants and one-button jackets lined in chiffon. In other looks a pair of long shorts accompanied jackets though skirts were not left out.
The airy light-weight collection was supported by a soft color palette of beige, blue and pinks.
