The Anna Wintour job watch has just jumped into high gear!
It was widely speculated that Russian Vogue editor Aliona Doletskaya was next in succession for editor of American Vogue when the NY Times did a profile on the “lithe figure” with “fox like features”.
Now that speculation appears to be a very real possibility. The New York Post is reporting that Elle’s October issue had 66 more ad pages than Vogue and Anna’s boss S.I. Newhouse is PISSED!!!
To add fuel to this couture fire Aliona Doletskaya was announced at a party as, get this, “The next editor of American Vogue.”
When asked about the Doletskaya remark, a Vogue spokesperson told Page Six, “These variations are nothing unusual for magazine publishing, and we have the greatest admiration for every editor in chief of all the international Vogues.”
So no denial? If the rumors weren’t true it seems that the spokesperson would have made it abundantly clear.
