Who cares that the economy is in the tank and ordinary people are struggling just to afford the basics?

    Not Neiman Marcus, that’s who.

The Dallas, Texas-based upscale retailer has just released their 2008 Christmas Book (because Hanukkah and Kwanzaa don’t exist in the Neiman Marcus world).

Though it’s only early October the luxury retailer obviously need all the time they can get to hawk their holiday Christmas items. What’s the rush Neiman…know about something we don’t?

Apparently they don’t!  Because this Christmas catalog is one of the most luxurious ever.  It’s just chock full of hedonistic decadence as The Shophound notes:

a $1.3 million wedding package, His and Hers life-size replica portrait sculptures rendered in LEGO® for a mere $60,000, A Jack Nicklaus designed golf course starting at $1 million (you provide the real estate), and topping out at $10 million, you get a thoroughbred racehorse farm created for you by Three Chimneys Farm home to, ’some of racing’s winningest thoroughbreds,’ [sic] including history’s only undefeated triple crown winner, Seattle Slew.

And don’t forget the basics of designer clothing, jewels, baubles and furs.

Not sure who wrote the article regarding the Neiman 2008 Christmas Catalogue but they should know that a CHRISTMAS catalogue would not (should not) contains references nor gifts pertaining to foreign holidays which, let’s face it Hanukkah and Kwanzaa most definately are. Remember writer that AMERICA was founded by English:
    speaking
    holiday observing
    Christians
