Barack Obama is ready to tackle to problems of our country and he’s leaving behind petty, trivial issues such as trying to be the fashion police. At a recent interview with MTV a viewer wrote about Obama’s stance on attempts at banning underwear revealing sagging pants.
Obama’s take:
Here is my attitude: I think people passing a law against people wearing sagging pants is a waste of time. We should be focused on creating jobs, improving our schools, health care, dealing with the war in Iraq, and anybody, any public official, that is worrying about sagging pants probably needs to spend some time focusing on real problems out there. Having said that, brothers should pull up their pants. You are walking by your mother, your grandmother, your underwear is showing. What’s wrong with that? Come on. There are some issues that we face, that you don’t have to pass a law, but that doesn’t mean folks can’t have some sense and some respect for other people and, you know, some people might not want to see your underwear — I’m one of them.

hopefully Obama’s message of disapproval will be just once more influencing factor on the future of black America. This is a chance for blacks all over the country, who would have otherwise had a lack of direction, to rearrange their societal norms and priorities, to exemplify what a true gentleman or lady is. I say, dictht eh saying ‘ be like mike’ and install ‘be like barack’
It’s true that passing laws against sagging pants will probably do no good. I live in FL and didn’t even know there was an ordinance. Apparently, neither do all the “brothers” I see with their entire butts/underwear exposed. I don’t want to see that!! I can’t believe they think it’s “cool.” What’s really stupid is having pants so loose that they must hold them up with one hand while walking. What I would love to see is for them to have their pants fall down around their ankles, trip, and fall face down. I would laugh the loudest.

There doesn’t need to be a law against sagging pants but, come on, why do they think it is attractive? It looks like all these guys went out and borrowed some really fat guys pants to wear. If they want to impress the ladies, that is definitly NOT going to turn any heads! Put on some nice jeans that actually show what you got! Women like to see a nice tush too!
the sagging pants has got to be the stupidest fad yet. I agree we don’t need any fashion police. I wonder what the young saggy pants people whould think if us senior citizen would start wearing the sagging pants.
I believe that law enforcement needs to get their head out their asses are start enforcing some real laws.Our judicial system needs an emergency revision,clearly this does not apply to every judicial power but it does cause concern.
Does anyone know where this fashion came from? Does anyone care that it began as a prison signal for interest in homosexual liasons? Where is any sense of morality and decency in our country?

I have a problem with sagging from young men and women,due kids see this, and they like to copy what they see, I working in a local mall and every day, we have elderly people and mother and fathers complaining about sagging pants. When you sag like this that is very disrespectful to other who do not want to see your behind or do not care about the color of ones underwear, I would not like for my kids to see this crap.
