Jay Z has broken his silence on alleged incident involving Chris Brown and Rihanna. (Is alleged still necessary?)
“I just think we should all support her,” said the hip hop mogul who signed the Barbadian beauty to his record label in 2004. “She’s going through a tough time. You have to realize she’s a young girl, as well. She’s very young.” He added, “You have to have compassion for others. Just imagine it being your sister or mom and then think about how we should talk about that.”
When asked if the hip hop mogul has seen Rihanna since the incident went down he said, “I don’t want to go into it.”
Meanwhile, the fathers of both Chris Brown and Rihanna have spoken out about the incident.
Ronald Fenty, Rihanna’s father, said
“There is some bruising. She will be all right. I think so….At some point, she will speak out. I hope she will stand up for women all over the world.”
Chris Brown’s father Clinton Brown said:
“He’s very concerned about the situation and he wants to make sure that [Rihanna is] OK….This is unfortunate—this stumble, this situation. Hopefully, he will get past it. We all have our shortcomings. We all trip.”
