The Beyonce camp has issued a premiere date for her next video single entitled “Ego”.
The video which Beyonce co-directed will debut this Thursday, May 21st at 2:00pm EST. (The time seems pretty random, no?)
The video features Sheryl Murakami-created dance moves.
Of the video’s inspiration Bey said,

“My goal for [the 'Ego' video] is simplicity.” She then added, “I saw this old tape of Bob Fosse’s wife [Gwen Verdon], and I used that as inspiration. I thought in this world, with all the technology and everything that’s going on, to strip everything down - great idea. So I kind of did the same thing, but glossy and black, for ‘Ego’.”
